Emirates restarts Mauritius flights, because the island reopens to worldwide vacationers

From July 15 to September 30, 2021, Mauritius will open its borders to vaccinated passengers and Mauritian nationals.

  • Emirates will be flying to Mauritius twice a week from July 15th.
  • The airline will be using its Airbus A380 at the popular destination in the Indian Ocean from August 1st.
  • Fully vaccinated travelers can enjoy a relaxing and safe vacation.

Emirates has announced that it will resume passenger traffic to Mauritius from July 15 with two weekly flights from July 15, as the island nation is gradually reopening its borders to international tourists. In order to meet market demand, the airline has also announced that it will be using its legendary Emirates A380 aircraft in Mauritius from August 1st. Fully vaccinated travelers can enjoy a relaxing and safe vacation at a list of pre-approved COVID-19 safe resorts across the island.

Emirates flights to Mauritius operate on Thursdays and Saturdays. From July 15, the route will be served with a Boeing 777-300ER and from August 1 with the Emirates A380. Emirates flight EK 701 departs Dubai at 2:35 a.m. and lands in Mauritius at 9:10 a.m. local time. The return flight is operated on Fridays and Sundays. Emirates flight EK 704 takes off from Mauritius at 11:10 p.m. and lands in Dubai the next day at 5:45 a.m. local time.

The Emirates A380 experience remains very popular with travelers for its spacious and comfortable cabins and the airline will continue to expand its use as demand gradually returns. Emirates currently operates the A380 to New York JFK, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Toronto, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Moscow, Amman, Cairo and Guangzhou.

From white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and lush landscapes, Mauritius remains one of the most popular vacation destinations, drawing travelers from all over America, Europe and the Middle East. Emirates passengers can also enjoy other Indian Ocean destinations as the airline offers 28 weekly flights to the Maldives and seven weekly flights to the Seychelles.

From July 15 to September 30, 2021, Mauritius will open its borders to vaccinated passengers and Mauritian nationals. Fully vaccinated travelers can enjoy a “hotel vacation” and choose from an extensive list of approved hotels across the island. From October 1st, Mauritius will welcome fully vaccinated travelers who can explore the island without restrictions.
