Zambia has voted: According to unconfirmed results, Mr Hichilema is currently on the polls with 64.9% of the votes, followed by President Edgar Lungu with 33.1%. They are followed by the Democratic candidate Harry Kalaba (0.4%) and Fred M’membe from the Socialist Party (0.3%).
The incumbent Zambian President Edgar Lungu is seeking re-election.
His opponent is Hakainde Hichilema, a well-known businessman in Zambia.
