List of 80 most dangerous countries to travel to at the moment according to CDC
- Americans are warned of the high risk of travel when visiting France, Israel, Thailand, Aruba, Iceland, and Eswatini.
- CDC is updating the list of high-risk destinations, adding 7 popular travel and tourism destinations to Category 4 of the Avoid Travel List (Highest Threat).

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced today that seven more countries have been added to their “Level 4” list of states that pose the greatest threat from the coronavirus to visitors.
In its guidelines, the CDC recommends that even fully vaccinated travelers avoid travel to destinations marked as “Level 4: COVID-19 very high” completely.
Countries labeled “Very High Risk COVID-19” had over 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days, according to the CDC.
The 7 countries that were added to the CDC “Level 4: COVID-19 very high” list on August 9, 2021 are:
- Aruba
2. Eswatini
3. France
4. French Polynesia
5. Iceland
6. Israel
7. Thailand
The US regulator also said that all Americans who have to travel to these places should be fully vaccinated.
“Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19. However, international travel carries additional risks and even fully vaccinated travelers could be at increased risk of catching and potentially spreading some COVID-19 variants, “the CDC said in its guidelines.
Last week the CDC added 16 countries to its “very high” risk category. The organization regularly updates a list of travel advice from level 1 (“low”) to level 4 (“very high”).
Currently, the CDC is warning American citizens to travel to the following countries and regions. Oddly enough, it includes the US Virgin Islands, which are part of the United States.
Avoid traveling to these destinations. If you need to travel to these destinations, make sure you are fully vaccinated before you travel.
