The Bahamas celebrates debut of Crystal Cruises’ homeport in Nassau
Live musical performances and a celebration took place in Pompey Square in Nassau as Crystal Cruises welcomed guests aboard the cruise line’s flagship Crystal Serenity for the first Luxury Bahamas Escapes cruise. The Bahamas now serves as the official home port for the boutique ship, which offers 7-night voyages exclusively within the Bahamas.

During the opening ceremony, the Hon. Dionisio D’Aguilar, Minister of Tourism and Aviation of the Bahamas said: “This partnership is an important milestone for cruising in the Bahamas as the boutique ship Crystal Serenity has the potential to strengthen our economy Restore communities. No other destination in the Caribbean could offer the discerning cruiser an extraordinary itinerary that visits several breathtaking islands in the same country. “
The ship set sail on its first 7-day all-inclusive luxury Bahamas Escapes cruise, which features consecutive days to explore the Family Islands and a wide range of active, leisurely and enriching excursions for every traveler.
Getting started on this adventure is a breeze, with options to hop on and off from Nassau or Bimini. There are many airlines to choose from when arriving in Nassau, including American Airlines, Delta, and Jet Blue, among others. Silver Airways offers flight options to Nassau and Bimini from Ft. Lauderdale.
