Senator declares warfare on Alaska Airways after it bans her for refusing to put on masks
The banned Senator calls for a “review” of Alaska Airlines’ “monopoly” in air traffic to Juneau.

Alaska Airlines announced that it had banned Alaska State Senator Lora Reinbold from boarding her plane for refusing to comply with the COVID-19 mask policy.
“We have informed Senator Lora Reinbold that she is not allowed to fly with us because she continues to refuse to follow employee instructions regarding the current mask policy,” said an Alaska Airlines spokesman, noting that US law ” all guests are obliged to wear “During the journey, also during the flight, when boarding and disembarking, always a mask over the nose and mouth. “
Reinbold was forced to take a ferry and road trip to the state’s capital, Juneau, after Alaska Airlines refused to let her fly because she refused to wear a mask.
After the ban, Reinbold, who has been a crusader against masks for a year, complained that she was instead forced to take a “sizeable” ferry and car ride to Juneau, where the state’s senators must personally vote on the Senate floor.
Reinbold claimed to have “a new appreciation for the sea ferry system” and wrote on her Facebook post that the “monopoly in air traffic to Juneau” needs to be “reviewed”.
Many social media users ridiculed Reinbold and thanked the airline for the ban.

It is currently unknown how long Reinbold’s Alaska Airlines ban will last.
