Kenya and Tanzania pave a means for regional tourism drive in Africa

Kenya and Tanzania have paved the way for a regional and intra-African tourism offensive and have used their common wildlife and tourism resources across their respective territorial borders.

  1. Tourism is one of the most important economic sectors that the African countries want to develop, market and promote for the prosperity of the continent.
  2. The two heads of state have jointly agreed to remove obstacles to the smooth flow of trade and people.
  3. The East African countries have decided to promote regional tourism cooperation in order to exploit the region’s potential.

A step between these two African countries to cooperate in trade and tourism was taken two weeks before the celebration of Africa Day by the African nations on May 25, 2021 in order to contribute to the establishment of the Organization of African Unity of the African Union (OAU) on the same day in To remember the year 1963.

Tourism is one of the most important economic sectors that the African countries want to develop, market and promote for the prosperity of the continent.

Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu made a two-day state visit to Kenya a few weeks ago and then held talks with Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta about the development of trade and the movement of people between the two neighboring countries.

The two heads of state have jointly agreed to remove obstacles to the smooth flow of trade and people between the two East African states.

They later directed their respective officials to start and conclude trade talks to bridge significant differences between the two countries, reports from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, said.

Movements of people also include local, regional, and foreign tourists visiting Kenya, Tanzania, and the entire East African region.
