- Support for the Ministry of Health and Wellness’s efforts to get more people vaccinated.
- Jamaica launched its COVID-19 vaccination program last month and will receive more vaccines in installments.
- The sooner the country is able to vaccinate more people, the sooner it can begin tourism recovery as confidence in travel will increase.
During a tour of the Montego Bay Convention Center (MBBC) on April 10, the Minister of Tourism of Jamaica emphasized: “The size of the MBCC has made it possible to equip the room for urgently needed vaccinations. The MBCC is a public body of the Ministry of Tourism. So I am delighted that we can support the Ministry of Health and Wellness’s efforts to vaccinate more people and reduce the spread of the disease. “
Many tourism workers in and around the area have been among those who have chosen to be vaccinated with the MBCC.
