Cyprus makes weekly COVID-19 assessments necessary for all unvaccinated vacationers |

Cyprus’ government officials today announced new COVID-19 restrictions on tourists.

Starting August 1st, all unvaccinated vacationers in Cyprus are required to take PCR tests every week. The first test is required from the seventh day after the arrival of the unvaccinated visitors to the island.

Visitors who have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a certificate of successful recovery from a previous COVID-19 infection are exempt from the PCR test.

A SafePass confirming the absence of COVID-19 must be presented when visiting shops with more than 10 visitors, as well as medical facilities anywhere on the island.

According to the authorities, the new rules will apply from now until August 31.
