Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchise company and leading provider of hotel management services with over 8,900 hotels in almost 95 countries, continued its strong growth path in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020, overcoming global uncertainty by a number of important Achieving hotel openings, key milestones, and a strong pipeline of new property slated for launch in 2021 and beyond.

In a year of significant challenges for the travel and hospitality industry, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts successfully opened over 125 new hotels last year and signed an additional 140 hotels in the Asia Pacific region. As a result, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has taken a leading position in the industry with over 1,500 hotels in 20 regional markets and territories.

This year, growth is expected to continue with an estimated 40 percent increase in new openings, or around 180 hotels expected to open in the Asia-Pacific region. Wyndham is well on its way to reaching 2,000 hotels in the Asia Pacific region within the next three years.

“Strong partnerships with our owners will be the key to our further growth and our mutual success. We are building on the momentum achieved in 2020 as industries focus on a recovery in 2021, and our robust hotel business openings and executions will pave the way for continued growth for the company. With so many great hotel openings and signings, this is testament to the continued trust our partners have in world-class Wyndham brands. As we expand our size, reach, sales and base of loyal Wyndham Rewards members, we will help create even greater benefits for everyone in our value chain, ”said Joon Aun Ooi, President, Asia Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

In addition to the company’s extensive support efforts for existing hotel owners and partners, these milestone openings will put Wyndham in the best possible position to capitalize on pent-up demand once travel restrictions, expected in the coming months, ease.
