Nevis Tourism Authority CEO dishes with Toya and Clavia

Jadine Yarde, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), was invited to the lounge with Toya and Clavia (LaToya Rhodes and Clavia Howard) for an entertaining and revealing chat about the joys and highlights of the island of Nevis.

  1. The popular Dishes N ‘Destinations podcast is aimed at gourmets and hikers and offers culinary delicacies and the latest travel trends.
  2. This week, the CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority staged the show.
  3. The CEO gave a comprehensive rundown of the Nevis vacation experience starting with the island’s immigration records.

This week’s episode, which airs at midnight on Friday April 9th, is entirely devoted to the attractions, resorts and culinary scene awaiting travelers to Nevis. During the hour-long exchange, Ms. Yarde provided a comprehensive rundown of the Nevis vacation experience, starting with the island’s immigration records.

Visitors are currently required to submit a negative RT-PCR test prior to arrival and must be on vacation at one of four approved resorts – Four Seasons, Paradise Beach, Golden Rock Inn, and Montpelier Plantation for 14 days before being allowed to move around the island on your own. Thanks to these strict protocols, Nevis is one of the safest islands in the region to visit. There are very few cases, no deaths, and no community spread.

Much of the conversation was about what makes Nevis stand out in this twin island St. Kitts and Nevis destination that offers two very different travel experiences.

“Nevis is the place to come and just be yourself – it’s more relaxed, you can feel the authenticity of the island’s old world charm,” advised Ms. Yarde. “It’s a positive and calming energy, a feeling that everything will be fine. We offer barefoot luxury; we are not presumptuous. There’s magic here in Nevis that lets you immerse yourself in a culture you’ve never experienced before. “

According to current vacation logs, most visitors now come for a month, so they spend two weeks at their resort and then wander around the island for two weeks. A lively discussion of the wide range of activities ensued – from an invigorating hike up Nevis Peak to a tour of the Hamilton Museum, dedicated to Nevis-born American founding father Alexander Hamilton. to the long and uncrowded beaches that are always a major attraction. The island is known for wellness and a variety of outdoor and nature activities and events, including a cross channel swim, marathon and running festival that takes place throughout the year.

A major interest for these two foodies, of course, was the Nevis culinary scene, and this is where conversation became particularly lively around Nevis’ food festivals and unique dining experiences. Nevis has an eclectic group of food businesses that offer great cuisine and cater for all diet needs from vegans to carnivores. The island specializes in farm-to-table cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients – seafood, fruits and vegetables, organically grown meat, and poultry.
