Going to Vegas? Pack Your Masks

  1. Heading to Sin City? You have to wear a mask.
  2. Are you planning to spend hours in the casino at a slot machine or at the craps table? You will need a mask throughout your stay.
  3. Would you like to take part in the endless buffets? Sure, go ahead, but you still have to wear a mask between meals.

Tourists have mixed feelings when the mask mandate is back in effect. It doesn’t bother some at all. In fact, many have chosen to keep their masks on anyway as a precautionary measure. But for others, they are not so happy to adhere to it. Especially the smokers. Pulling the mask down, pulling it, inhaling and exhaling, putting the mask back on is more than a nuisance for you.

Across the country, it looks like many government officials are tired too and are choosing to let residents decide. Wear a mask, don’t wear a mask, it’s up to you. Take Hawaii for example. Even if their new case numbers are well above what they were in the statistics “COVID-19 heyday,” the governor said he was taking no steps to mandate the wearing of masks. Today his criteria are based solely on the consideration of the vaccination dates and the achievement of herd immunity. What happens between now and then – if “then” ever comes – obviously doesn’t matter. Medical staff may have a bone to pluck with as their hospitals fill up with more and more COVID-19 patients every day.
