Sandra Naranjo has been appointed as the new Tourism Minister for Ecuador with effect from July 1, 2021.

Continuing the work of outgoing minister Vinicio Alvarado, Naranjo aims to increase tourist arrivals by at least 10 percent this year, hoping to hit around 1.5 million arrivals. As the new tourism minister of Ecuador, she brings a strong economic knowledge base, extensive experience in public administration and is very business-oriented.
